Made In the Hills

Hi, I’m Sharon and I run Made In The Hills candle and gift store from my home in the beautiful flow country of Caithness in the Scottish Highlands. I’ve always had an affinity with animals, nature and Scotland after taking off with my Lab Luca on many a peace seeking retreat. Who knew I would meet my now husband and move my entire life to one of the most remote parts of the Scottish Highlands.

With only red deer, golden eagles and our 5 dogs keeping us company as much as I embraced the wild and remote lifestyle I needed something to occupy me, I’d always loved candles and crafts having spent a small fortune on them over the years, and it became obvious to me to combine my love of the Scottish Highlands with animals, candles and handcraft to make a range of scented candles, home fragrance and unique gifts for dog lovers.

Our lifestyle here is very remote and off grid and we rely on renewable solar powered electricity and our running water comes from the river, so it went without saying the products I craft are sustainable, eco and vegan friendly and our packaging reflects the ethics we strive to adhere to.

My vision for Made In The Hills is to share our love for The Highlands with like minded folk and bring you a unique collection of sustainable handcrafted products. I hope you enjoy them as much I love making them!
