Hi, I'm Wendy. I grew up with a love of Scotland from my holidays in the Gairloch area as a child. I had always hoped to live in Scotland one day, and in 2005, I moved from Yorkshire with my husband and 2 children to escape the rat race of city life where we'd had a catering business since 1986. We bought a small hotel in Lochcarron and enjoyed fourteen seasons of meeting hundreds of interesting visitors from across the globe. We sold two years ago but continued to live in Lochcarron, time for something new and looked forward to working a little less.

I have always loved fabric, in my teen years my friends would buy makeup and clothes but I mainly spent my money on metre after metre of fabric! My love of sewing and crafts came from my paternal Grandma who patiently taught me to sew when I was around 7 or 8 and has stayed with me all my life. The sale of the business provided a window of opportunity for me to start a small sewing business making a selection of beeswax food wraps, aprons and home furnishings. I also enjoy cooking , walking, swimming and loved athletics as a younger girl.

We are fortunate enough to live in this beautiful area and a view many can only dream about.
