The SCDI Highlands and Islands Business Excellence Awards held on Thursday 24th June 2021, celebrated the businesses and organisations that have made a real contribution to the economy of the region over the past year.
Highland Hiddle was nominated in two categories. Firstly, for the Highland Spirit and Resilience award and secondly, Harriet Fletcher, Highland Hiddle founder, was nominated for the Outstanding Business Leader. We were delighted to receive silver awards in both categories.
The Highland Spirit and Resilience Award recognises businesses, organisations or individuals who have played a significant role in maintaining resilience, community spirit and local support networks during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Outstanding Business Leader recognises the business leader in the Highlands and Islands who best demonstrates making an outstanding personal difference to a business and a significant positive contribution to the economy through: delivering business growth; pioneering innovation; maximising community benefit; overcoming barriers; or inspiring others.
As such a young company we were extremely proud to be a finalist in these awards, and it gives great encouragement to us in continuing to provide a window of opportunity for the talented artists and crafters living and working in the Highlands and Islands.
Thank you to all those who have supported us since we launched last August.
