Black Friday Update for 2024

At the end of this month it's Thanksgiving in the US which is traditionally a celebration of the harvests and blessings of the past the year. In recent years, this holiday has been adopted as the busiest shopping weekend of the year, coined Black Friday, when many retailers give significant discounts to tempt shoppers.

As with many US trends, Black Friday / Cyber Monday flash sales have spread across the world and are not only commonplace in the UK, but retailers are tending to start their discounting earlier and earlier each year in an effort to lure in shoppers.

Unfortunately, Black Friday is detrimental to small, independent retailers who don't have the luxury of large margins and simply cannot compete with the discounts given by high street retailers. Therefore, we wanted to let you know Highland Hiddle is opting out of Black Friday discounts.

We believe the beautiful handmade products on Highland Hiddle are fairly priced for the amount of work and creative talent that goes into them.

We are incredibly grateful to all our customers who continue to support the small, independent makers of the Scottish Highlands and Islands.
