Porcelain Tall Vine Mug
A beautiful porcelain mug with underglaze decoration, white leaf design and finished with mother of pearl lustre.
Each mug is handmade by Sarah, and decorated with underglaze watercolour detail. Then the mug is put through four firings, to a maximum of 1260 degrees celsius: the first firing turns the clay into ceramic and is then followed with a glaze firing. The last two firings are to add the bees and then the mother of pearl lustre which give an iridescent finish. This firing is done outside because of any fumes released from the lustre. The whole process from start to finish takes about a week and is a true labour of love.
The mug holds 300ml Not suitable for the dishwasher or microwave due to the lustres.

Absolutely delightful mug, beautifully crafted in a gorgeous design and lovely to drink from!
This is such a beautiful mug. I love the effect of the underglazes and the celestial theme. It took about 14 days to reach me here in the US during the holiday rush, which was quicker than I expected. I'm very happy with my purchase.
