This design is based on traditional Fair Isle patterns and is named after the ancient stone circle near Tarland. The Tomnaverie jumper has a main pattern of a stylised star, with a contrasting border detail. The sleeves have the same border but feature a smaller main pattern. This jumper has ribbed cuffs and welt and is suitable for men and women. As each item is individually made on a vintage hand-frame knitting machine, colours and sizes may vary slightly but the overall effect is similar. Colourway: Clipper/Silver. The main colour is a mid-blue with a pale grey contrast. The border is a grey marl and autumnal shades with blue and purple peerie patterns. In stock: Large (long) This unisex jumper has been knitted in a slightly longer length (73cm) than standard, making it very suitable for men who would like an original jumper that’s a wee bit different from mainstream woollies. However, it is also available to order to suit your requirements.
Wool is very breathable, which means less frequent washing. However, when it does need to be washed, it should be hand washed in tepid water, given a quick spin or rolled in a towel to remove excess water, and dried flat. It can be pressed with a damp cloth and gently reshaped, if necessary. Given this wee bit of care, you will be able to enjoy wearing your Whinnyfold Knitwear clothing for years to come.
Made to order items will take an extra 2-4 weeks to make.
