Purply Pink Crochet Shawl
This is a lovely crochet triangular shaped shawl made from 30% silk and 70% merino extra fine wool in a subtle & warm purple/orange/pink colour. Manos silk blend is a luxurious blend of merino and silk which gives the shawl a subtle glow.
The yarn used is from Manos del Uruguay which is a non-profit organisation which assembles over 400 artisans in cooperatives scattered throughout the countryside of Uruguay. The aim of the organisation is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural woman. It is hand dyed in large kettles to create a marbleised, subtly striated effect that forms a rich palette of glorious colours. No two skeins are exactly alike and there are no dye lots. The shawl carries the signature of the craftswoman who made it, together with the name of the locality and the non-profit cooperative where it was made. The wooden shawl pin is not included in the price but can be purchased separately for an additional £5 (select using the dropdown). The shawl pin is available in a black diamond shape or a light brown rectangular shape.
