This exceptional coffee comes from the women’s harvest of the Prosperidad de Chirinos cooperative. Prosperidad de Chirinos, established in 1968, consists of 817 members, over a quarter of whom are women. Cosecha de Mujer is a women’s group within the Prosperidad de Chirinos cooperative that was formed to promote equality between men and women on farms and in the cooperative.

The name “Cosecha de Mujer”, which translates into “harvest of women”, highlights the hard work of female farmers on the farm and in the household with childcare, food preparation and more. Their goal is to strengthen the leadership capacities of female members and generate a culture of gender equality.
