The name is believed to derive from the Greek word ‘amethystos’ meaning ‘not intoxicating’. In Ancient times, popping an Amethyst crystal in your goblet of wine was believed to prevent you from getting drunk – probably best not to try this at home though!

Pendant size 2 cm x 1 cm. Finished with an 18 inch silver plated chain.
