Eco Silk and Wool Scarf

This ultra lightweight scarf is a marriage of silk and wool. The mixed woollen yarn has been prepared by the maker from Shetland and Cheviot locally produced fleece; scoured, carded, spun, plied and dyed using natural plants and dye ingredients including onion bracken and woad. The scarf was then woven on a rigid heddle loom using tabby, leno and clasp techniques. The reverse of the scarf is constructed from 100% silk fabric which the maker dyed using botanicals from the garden to compliment the woven front of the scarf. The terminals are of knotted fringe.

Care instructions: hand wash in tepid water and dry flat.
