Botanical Print Waistcoat

A unique piece of wearable art with a practical application. This waistcoat was cut to a pattern drafted by the maker to showcase the fabrics from which it is crafted. The main fabric was created on a rigid heddle loom from 100% cotton coral pink warp, and 100% wool weft yarns in red, burgundy, and brown.

This garment is fastened with two concealed pop/snap fasteners and is designed to be worn loose over a blouse or jumper depending on the season. The front panels of up cycled wool blanket, feature a botanical eco printed design with embroidery. The botanicals were all grown in the maker's garden. The hand stitched lining is constructed from vintage silk which has been eco dyed to a complimentary colour.

Care instructions; Hand wash in tepid water, dry flat out of direct sunlight.
