This is a traditional Highland hep made from a centuries old pattern using Jamiesons 100% Shetland wool. Women would wrap the shawl around themselves for warmth and protection from the wind. The yarn has a natural bloom which gradually felts with wear to increase its warmth. It has a coarse texture and is made for layering.
