Named after Liz's favourite woodland in the Howe of Cromar, this hand-framed jumper features the traditional 'Tree of Life' design which is often incorporated into the traditional ganseys of NE fishing communities as well as being a traditional Fair Isle pattern. It has a colourful, contrasting border with stylised leaves, and ribbed cuffs and welt. It is knitted in a mixture of Shetland and lambswool which give warmth and durability. As each item is individually made on a vintage hand-frame knitting machine, colours and sizes may vary slightly but the overall effect is similar. Wool is very breathable, which means less frequent washing. However, when it does need to be washed, it should be hand washed in tepid water, given a quick spin or rolled in a towel to remove excess water, and dried flat. It can be pressed with a damp cloth and gently reshaped, if necessary. Given this wee bit of care, you will be able to enjoy wearing your Whinnyfold Knitwear clothing for years to come.
The main colour is a deep pine green with a medium autumn brown.
Made to order items will take an extra 4 weeks to make. If you are buying for a Christmas present please order before 18th November to be certain of it being made and sent in time.
