Oak House Pottery

Hi I’m Ben Lennon. I established Oak House Pottery in 2016 in Glen Roy in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

Originally, I studied at Lancaster, later specialising in ceramics at college in Cornwall where I pursued an interest in functional earthenware for kitchen and table.

The ceramics I produce at Oak House Pottery combine simple and elegant design with the traditional technique of throwing. All the pots are produced on a kick wheel and are hand decorated using coloured slips (coloured clay) made to my own recipes.

The focus is on producing high quality functional pots for kitchen, table, home and garden. Alongside standard items we have a particular interest in rediscovering traditional food preparation and storage items. These include salt pigs, fermentation crocks, rumtopfe and beurrier. We also produce a growing range of garden pots including traditional Long Toms and Rhubarb forcers.

All pots are made on the premises in the village of Roy Bridge, Glen Roy, in the heart the Scottish Highlands.
