Edinbane Pottery

Hi, I’m Stuart. I was brought up on the island of Pabay, off Broadford on the Isle of Skye. Playing with boulder clay (ice age residue) led to making pottery. We moved to Edinbane on Skye in the early seventies. In 1972 my Dad & I opened the Edinbane pottery. For the last 30 years I have made both woodfired stoneware pottery and salt glaze work. Most of our work is decorative and functional. All our pottery is handmade, mostly thrown on the wheel, and individually decorated, therefore each piece differs a bit, which is part of their joy.

The current pottery team is my wife Julie, Andreas and myself.

We are happy to make commissions.
