Crafty Bassetts

Hi, we are Mr and Mrs Bassett of Crafty Bassetts, a husband and wife team based in the North West of the Scottish Highlands, in the small coastal village of Poolewe. On our wood-turning lathe we turn unique and beautiful pens and other crafts from a range of materials, including a wide variety of stunning woods and colourful resin blanks that we cast ourselves.

Mrs Bassett inherited the lathe from her Papa who took up wood-turning later in life as a hobby, so learning how to turn had always been a keen ambition for me. A few years ago Mr Bassett took it upon himself to learn how to turn through books, research and video tutorials, and taught Mrs Bassett as he progressed. They are always learning new tips and perfecting their techniques for wood-turning, and lovingly handcraft each piece taking great pride and joy in their work.

Shipping policy

The pens are sent via Royal Mail first class in the UK and should arrive within 3-5 days. International items are sent tracked. Postage is per order for International orders. The postage is the same for 1-2 pens, for 3+ pens the delivery cost will increase.
