A mobile consisting of five individual strands of 14 beautiful locally found pieces of sea glass and 16 high quality glass beads. Approximately 33-43 cm drop from top of driftwood to bottom of centre strung glass. String hanger has an approx. 15-25 cm drop. The piece of driftwood is approximately 20-25cm in length and is a beautiful, old and weathered piece found along the Moray coast.
The artist carefully drills small holes in each selected piece of glass using a diamond tipped drill bit and water. The sea glass and high quality glass beads are woven with fishing line and attached to a natural piece of locally found driftwood.
What is Sea Glass?
Sea Glass starts life as discarded glass bottles and jars but is shaped by the sea to become the unique gems found washed up on the shore. Made by humans but recycled by nature! Sea glass can be clear, white, green, blue, jade, aqua, amber and brown. Sea glass also has no sharp edges.
Each piece of Sea Glass has been carefully hand-picked, by Sharon, from the stunning Moray beaches in Scotland. The Moray Coast has one of the most beautiful coastlines in Scotland and is a haven for a wide variety of sea-life, including the most northerly pod of bottlenose dolphins found in the UK. The piece of driftwood is also reclaimed from the Moray Coast. The driftwood is dried and hand-drilled with care, ensuring a quality product that will last a lifetime.
Please note: each piece is unique due to no piece of driftwood or sea glass being the same. The images are just examples, the product you will receive will be similar but not exactly the same. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you require photos of the exact product you will receive.
